Care Instructions

Chemicals, cosmetics and perfumes all conspire to cloud the brilliance of a gemstone and dull the surface of gold, gold vermeil and sterling silver.  We recommend applying perfume and lotions before putting on your jewellery and jewellery should always be removed prior to showering, bathing and swimming. We suggest that you take the time to properly care for your jewellery, keeping it absolutely dry and stored in an airtight container when not in use.

Gold vermeil is a 2.5 micron overlay of gold over a base of sterling silver and requires special care.  To clean gold vermeil jewellery, buff VERY gently with a soft and dry 100% cotton cloth or a microfibre cloth. NEVER use chemical cleaners on 18k gold vermeil jewellery--it can strip the gold finish. It is natural for gold vermeil jewellery to tarnish with time—it adds character to the item makes it as individual as you are.

Sterling silver will tarnish naturally over time but can be cleaned very easily. Be sure to clean the silver only and avoid contact with any stones.  You can remove light tarnish by using a soft and dry 100% cotton cloth or microfibre cloth and buff gently.
