Description
The symmetrical, double-headed axe is the most powerful symbol of the Ancient Minoan civilisation of Crete, where it was commonly used as a symbol of the mother goddess and was representative of authority. Each of the Labrys Earrings, in 18K Gold Vermeil, incorporates three double axe symbols which are also commonly used as a symbol of the butterfly, signifying transformation and rebirth.

Our Gold Vermeil jewellery is hand-made from ethically sourced 925 Silver, finished with a high quality 2.5 Micron thick layer of 18K Gold plate ensuring the rich gold lustre is retained longer.

The Labrys earring are absolutely beautiful and the perfect length for a drop earring. They are elegant yet bold with the double headed-axe. I love them!
