Where can I find your stockists?

Orders & Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free express shipping on all orders.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Delivery times vary depending on the piece you selected. Vermeil & silver styles usually ship the next business day, made-to-order styles can be anywhere between 2 to 6 weeks.

Please refer to precise shipping times for different size and materials. Alternatively, you can get in touch with our team to find out more information.

Can I pick up my order in-store?

Yes, you can! Both in-store and online orders can be returned to our Byron Bay, Australia, Boutique if they fall within our return window.

Please note: Paddington Store purchases can only be returned to the Paddington location.

How do I change or cancel my order

If you need to change or cancel your order please email us at support@templeofthesun.com.au or contact us on (02) 5629 7084 between our opening hours Mon - Fri, 9am - 4pm.


Note: We are closed on public holidays.

We unfortunately cannot gaurantee any changes or cancel your order after it has left our premises. 

Can I include a personalised message with my order?

Yes, you can add a note to your order. Please write a small note at the checkout in notes section.

We also have gift wrapping available for a small charge, just add to cart prior to placing your order.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes, you can add the gift wrap option at checkout for AU $10 (appears in your cart) .

Can you send my order without a receipt?

All of our orders are sent without a receipt and beautifully packaged, which makes it perfect when gifting. 

How can I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number and a link to follow your parcel’s journey.

What do I do if I haven't received my item?

If you are unable to locate your order, please contact us at support@templeofthesun.com.au with your order number, and our team will assist you promptly.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your Ready to Ship return policy?
  • Return window is 14 days from purchase
  • Eligible items are gold vermeil, sterling silver
  • Excluded items are sale items, solid gold, earrings, Afterpay purchases.
  • Condition required is to be unworn, undamaged, original condition.

What is your Bespoke and Made to Order return policy?

All bespoke and custom pieces are non-refundable once the order is confirmed.

How do I make a return?

Should you have a change of heart within 14 days of purchasing, we are happy to provide a refund or store credit on full price items only.

Change of heart policy does not include sale items or earrings (for hygiene reasons).

Please care for your jewellery by following our care instructions, as we are not responsible for the maintenance of your purchased jewellery.

Do you offer refunds on solid gold items?

Solid gold pieces are excluded from refunds due to their bespoke and high-value nature.

All sales of solid gold jewellery are final, except in cases where the item is faulty or damaged on arrival.

If you receive a defective product, please contact support@templeofthesun.com.au within 7 days of receipt to arrange a repair or replacement.

Do you offer refunds for orders placed with Afterpay?

Orders paid via Afterpay are not eligible for refunds due to Afterpay’s payment policies.

Can I return a sale item?

Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded, except if the item is faulty or damaged on arrival.

Can I return jewellery bought from your stockists?

Jewellery purchased from our stockists must be returned directly to the original store where you bought it. You can see a list of our stockists and addresses here.

Can I drop off an online return in store?

Yes, you can return online orders in store, as long as they meet our return policy guidelines. Just bring your order number and proof of purchase with you.

Can I return or exchange earrings?

For hygiene purposes, we strictly do not refund and/or exchange earrings.

How can I return a gift I received or gave?

Returns can be made under the same conditions as regular purchases:

  • Directly from Temple of the Sun (online or in-store), you can return it within the applicable return window, provided the item is unworn, undamaged, and in original condition.
  • Order number or proof of purchase is required to help us process the return smoothly.
  • Stockist returns must be handled through that retailer directly.
I received an incorrect/faulty order. What should I do?

Please lodge a return request through our return portal to start the process. You’ll need your order details.

Once your request is reviewed, our team will guide you on the next steps for a replacement, repair, or refund.

How do I keep the shine on my jewellery?

Can I wear my jewellery in the water?

We recommend taking vermeil and silver jewellery off when you shower, swim or surf as it will fade the gold lustre over time.

Solid gold jewellery can be worn in the water without fading.

Can you repair broken Temple of the Sun jewellery?

Yes! Temple of the Sun offers repair and re-plating services for your Temple piece.

Bespoke

Can I arrange a bespoke consultation?

We provide virtual consultations as an option if you would like to speak with one of our team members. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you before you meet with our jeweller.

What are the Bespoke Terms?

Bespoke orders will take up to 10 weeks for completion, which applies to orders over $5000. To initiate your bespoke design process, a non-refundable down payment of $1250 is required.

After confirmation of your design, full payment must be completed within 8 weeks. Your jewellery will be shipped to you between the 8 – 10 week mark after design confirmation and full payment has been made.

What does the Bespoke proces look like?

Our Bespoke process is a thoughtful collaboration, where your story becomes a handcrafted piece of meaningful jewellery. We begin with a personal consultation to explore your vision, followed by design development with ethically sourced stones and metals. Once the design is finalised, our artisans handcraft your piece in Byron Bay.

How long will it take to get my piece?

The Bespoke process typically takes 6–8 weeks from the initial consultation to completion. If you have a specific date in mind, we recommend getting in touch early so we can accommodate your timeline.

I need my piece soon. What should I do?

If you have a tight timeline, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. While our Bespoke pieces usually take 6–8 weeks, we’ll always do our best to accommodate special requests or time-sensitive occasions where possible.

Are you able to make bespoke ring sizing?

We offer customised options based on the size of your request. Please note that a fee for customisation may apply, depending on the specifics of your request.

We are unable to accommodate any customisation requests that fall outside of the options provided. If you would like to receive a quote for a bespoke request, or to discuss design options with our support team, please fill in our bespoke enquiry form above.

If I propose, and the ring doesn't fit – can I get my ring resized?

Yes, we offer complimentary resizing on Bespoke rings to ensure the perfect fit after your proposal.

What is your return policy for bespoke designs?

Do you work with stones or heirloom jewellery supplied by the customer?

We don’t currently work with customer-supplied stones or heirloom jewellery.

Can I change, cancel or return my order once placed?

If you change your mind on your purchase after a deposit has been paid, the deposit and balance paid is non-refundable. Your deposit is considered your confirmation of your order and is not able to be refunded.

Changes after the second payment are not encouraged due to the prohibitively expensive costs that may be incurred. We recommend choosing carefully when confirming the final design.

What payment methods are accepted? Do you offer Layby?

We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, AfterPay up to AU$2,000.

Yes, they do offer a lay‑buy payment plan for bespoke and custom designs:

  • 50% of the invoice total to commence the piece (usually once design is confirmed)
  • Remaining balance is due within six weeks before final delivery or completion of the work.
  • This plan allows you to split payment over time while the piece is made to order.

What's your return policy for Bespoke designs?

Do your products come with warranty?

We offer a 6 month warranty on all our bespoke products for manufacturing defects only. In the case of your item is damaged due to reasons there than regular wear, we can carry out repair of the item at a cost. We can provide you with an estimate of the repair charges before works are carried out.

What are my delivery options?

We ship all our bespoke orders with DHL Express with signature on delivery or in-store pick up for our local customers.

For international shipments outside of Australia, it is possible that import duties and taxes may apply. Please note that upon the arrival of your order to the destination country, you will be responsible for paying all relevant custom fees and taxes that are required to release the parcel.

Warranty

What is your warranty policy?

Our warranty policy applies to all jewellery including Gold Vermeil, Ethical Sterling Silver & Solid Gold.

All of our jewellery is hand-crafted according to the highest standard and is quality checked before we send it to you.

In the unlikely case of a faulty item, Temple of the Sun Jewellery offers a six-month warranty starting from the completion date for all their products. This warranty specifically covers any manufacturing faults however excludes damages caused by wear and tear, oxidisation, and broken chains.

It’s important to note that this warranty does not cover lost, damaged, or chipped diamonds and stones.

For all warranty claims, please email your request to support@templeofthesun.com.au, including your order number and full details of the fault including images, and our team will be in contact regarding the next steps.

What happens if I lost my jewellery?

Temple of the Sun is not accountable for any missing jewellery.
