At Temple of the Sun, we believe that every individual deserves a jewellery piece that truly reflects their unique aesthetic and story. That's why we offer an exceptional bespoke jewellery service that allows you to co-create a masterpiece from the ground up.

Our team of expert jewellers will work closely with you, listening to your vision and guiding you through the endless design possibilities. You have the freedom to choose from a wide range of exquisite materials, including RJC-certified solid gold, Australian gemstones, conflict-free natural diamonds, and lab-grown diamonds to transform your dream piece into reality.

From selecting the finest materials to incorporating meaningful symbols, we ensure that your bespoke creation is a true reflection of you, to be treasured for years to come.

1. Understanding Your Vision

For bespoke creations, we invite you to collaborate with our designers in conceptualising and crafting a Temple of the Sun piece that is uniquely yours. This journey begins with understanding your vision and preferences, followed by selecting the finest materials and integrating meaningful symbols, ensuring that your bespoke creation is not just a piece of jewellery but a reflection of your individuality and story.

At our Byron Bay studio, the bespoke and ceremonial journey is a personalised and immersive experience. After initial contact, we gather more details to arrange an appointment, either in our Byron Bay showroom or virtually, tailored to your bespoke or ceremonial needs.

2. Your Bespoke Appointment

An in-store bespoke appointment is a comprehensive and luxurious experience. Upon your arrival, you'll be warmly welcomed with refreshments and Turkish delight, creating a comfortable atmosphere for a collaborative design discussion.

Our designer, equipped with preliminary sketches inspired by your references, works closely with you to refine these concepts. If you haven't provided prior references, sketches are crafted during your appointment to capture your vision.

This interactive experience allows you to try on rings, get professionally sized, and explore our range of loose gemstones.

3. Design Prototypes

Following your appointment, our designer will send you digital renders of design prototypes, fine-tuning every detail to ensure it aligns perfectly with your vision. Finally, we carefully source diamond or gemstone options that match your design preferences and budget, crafting a piece that is truly unique to you.

Payment Options

We offer a selection of time-honoured payment options available through our online store, and boutique - including Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal.

AFTER PAY

You can make purchases using AfterPay, with transaction values of up to $2000. This cap is set by AfterPay and is applicable across all online stores. It's essential to note that your personal limit might exceed this threshold, however for each transaction, the maximum allowable remains at $2000.

TEMPLE LAY-BUY

Once you have confirmed your design with our team, you have the option to then pay in full, or split payment.

We are happy to accommodate a payment plan, which allows you to split your payment under our lay-buy terms. 50% invoice total to commence on production, with up to six weeks to finalise remaining balance.

Bespoke FAQs

What are the Bespoke Terms?

Bespoke orders will take up to 10 weeks for completion, which applies to orders over $5000. To initiate your bespoke design process, a non-refundable down payment of $1250 is required. After confirmation of your design, full payment must be completed within 8 weeks. Your jewellery will be shipped to you between the 8 – 10 week mark after design confirmation and full payment has been made.

Can I arrange a bespoke consultation?

We provide virtual consultations as an option if you would like to speak with one of our team members. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know you before you meet with our jeweller.

Are you able to make bespoke ring sizing?

We offer customised options based on the size of your request. Please note that a fee for customisation may apply, depending on the specifics of your request.

We are unable to accommodate any customisation requests that fall outside of the options provided. If you would like to receive a quote for a bespoke request, or to discuss design options with our support team, please fill in our bespoke enquiry form above.

If I propose, and the ring doesn’t fit - can I have my ring re-sized?

Yes, in most cases, it is possible to have a ring re-sized if it doesn’t fit properly. However, the ability to resize a ring depends on the design and material of the ring, as well as the extent of the resizing required.

Associated costs and turnaround times can be determined once discussed with our team.

Can I change, cancel or return my order once placed?

If you change your mind on your purchase after a deposit has been paid, the deposit and balance paid is non-refundable. Your deposit is considered your confirmation of your order and is not able to be refunded.

Changes after the second payment are not encouraged due to the prohibitively expensive costs that may be incurred. We recommend choosing carefully when confirming the final design.

What is your return policy for bespoke designs?

Bespoke orders are custom made designed and made specifically for our customer. Before placing your order, please take note that we do not accept refunds solely due to a change of mind. It is important to carefully consider your purchase beforehand.

What is the turn around times for bespoke pieces?

We take pride in our commitment to delivering premium craftsmanship and quality. As a result, it typically takes us between 8 - 10 weeks depending on the extent of the designed ring.

After a consultation with our design team, we will be able to provide a more accurate timeframe tailored to your design. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a notification via email.

If you require an urgent turnaround time, please get in touch via phone or email prior to placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate an urgent delivery.

Do you work with stones or heirloom jewellery supplied by the customer?

We are unable to work with stones sourced or provided by our customers. However, if you have a particular type of stone of gem in mind for a customer design, please feel free to contact our customer support team. We have a network of trusted suppliers and can explore the possibility of sourcing the stone you desire for your bespoke piece.

What payment methods are accepted? Do you offer Layby?

Once you have confirmed your design with our team, we are happy to accommodate a payment plan, which allows you to split your payment under our lay-buy terms.

Do your products come with a warranty?

We offer a 6 month warranty on all our bespoke products for manufacturing defects only. In the case of your item is damaged due to reasons there than regular wear, we can carry out repair of the item at a cost. We can provide you with an estimate of the repair charges before works are carried out.

What are my delivery options?

We ship all our bespoke orders with DHL Express with signature on delivery or in-store pick up for our local customers.

For international shipments outside of Australia, it is possible that import duties and taxes may apply. Please note that upon the arrival of your order to the destination country, you will be responsible for paying all relevant custom fees and taxes that are required to release the parcel.
