Gold Vermeil

Our gold vermeil is a 2.5 micron overlay of 18K gold on a base of ethical 925 sterling silver.

How to take care of gold vermeil jewellery:

  • Avoid wearing your jewellery while swimming, washing up, showering or exercising.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals, including fragrance and cosmetics, and abrasive surfaces, taking care to avoid catching on items of clothing.
  • Rinse in cold water, pat dry with soft 100% cotton cloth.
  • Some gemstones, like opals, are softer than others, and should not be submerged in water.
  • To ensure the longevity of your jewellery, store each piece individually in an airtight container to prevent tarnish and scratching.
  • Chains should always be laid flat or hanging, to avoid tangling or kinks.
  • Your jewellery is delicate and should be handled with care.

The care, wear, and storage of your jewellery influences its appearance; with gold vermeil wearing away gradually over time. Gold vermeil can be restored to its original brilliance with our dedicated re-plating service, so you can love your pieces for a lifetime.

Temple of the Sun Ishtar Band Diamond Solid Gold

22K & 24K Solid Gold

Gold jewellery with a purity of 22 karats (91.6% pure gold) and 24 karats (99.9% pure gold) is highly prized for its luxurious lustre and rich colour. However, this high purity also makes the gold inherently malleable and susceptible to being pressed out of shape.

Slight moulding to the shape of your body is to be expected and is considered normal for 22K and 24K gold jewellery. This does not constitute a fault.

How to take care of solid gold jewellery:

  • Always handle your jewellery with the utmost care.
  • Avoid applying force or pressure, as high-purity gold can easily bend or warp.
  • Remove your jewellery during physical activities such as sports, gardening, or heavy lifting to prevent accidental damage or deformation.
  • Store in a cool dry place.
  • To prevent scratches and tangled chains we recommend storing jewellery separately.
  • To clean your fine jewellery, scrub lightly with a soft-bristled brush, warm water and mild detergent-free soap.
  • After cleaning, gently polish with the cloth provided to restore shine. Please be mindful of stone settings that can catch on loose fibres.

Gemstones & Diamonds

Our gemstones are consciously sourced to reflect our commitment to integrity and quality. We use responsibly-sourced natural, mineral gemstones valued for their beauty and meaning. We strive to select gemstones certified by the RJC for social and environmental responsibility.

How to take care of precious gemstones and diamonds:

  • To clean your gemstone & diamonds and restore their shine, scrub lightly with a soft-bristled brush, warm water and detergent-free soap.
  • Avoid chemicals or excessive temperatures when cleaning
  • Store in a safe, dry place when not worn to protect them from the elements of daily exposure.
