Our 18K gold vermeil and sterling silver jewellery is lovingly handcrafted. To maintain the lustre of your jewellery, please
follow our care instructions:
• Avoid wearing your jewellery while swimming, washing up, showering or exercising.
• Avoid contact with chemicals, including fragrance and cosmetics, and abrasive surfaces, taking care to avoid
catching on items of clothing.
• Rinse in cold water, pat dry with soft 100% cotton cloth.
• Some gemstones, like opals, are softer than others, and should not be submerged in water.
• To ensure the longevity of your jewellery, store each piece individually in an airtight container to prevent tarnish and scratching.
• Chains should always be laid flat or hanging, to avoid tangling or kinks.
• Your jewellery is delicate and should be handled with care.
The care, wear, and storage of your jewellery influences its appearance; with sterling silver tarnishing and gold vermeil wearing away gradually over time. Sterling silver’s shine can be renewed with a silver polishing cloth, while gold vermeil can be restored to its original brilliance with our dedicated replating service, so you can love your pieces for a lifetime.
If you have any questions about your jewellery or our replating service, please contact our customer care team at support@templeofthesun.com.au
Remove gemstone jewellery before engaging in activities that may cause damage and avoid wearing with clothes that have loose threads or abrasive textures, to prevent snagging.
Gemstone jewellery can be gently scrubbed with a soft-bristled or baby-sized toothbrush coated in warm, soapy water to dislodge any dirt.
Temple of the Sun rings are some of our favourite pieces, and being on our hands exposes them to the most wear and tear. To ensure the gold lustre remains golden and bright it is important to remove your rings each time we hand sanitise, apply makeup, cosmetics, shower, swim and even cook. Gold vermeil, like all non-solid gold, is designed to fade over time so our beloved rings need the most attention and care out of all.
