Opals:

• The opals used in this collection are Australian from Coober Pedy.

• They’re solid opals so they can be submerged in water.

• As opals are rated a 5.5–6, they're incredibly soft and when dropped or hit against a hard surface, they're at a risk of cracking.

• It is important to avoid hard chemicals and extreme temperatures when wearing.

• Opals can certainly be used in engagement jewellery; it’s just important the customer is aware of the risk in comparison to a diamond or sapphire.

• All opals are one of a kind, nearly impossible to get the same colour zoning and pattern.

• No ultrasonic for cleaning.

Dimond care: Lotions, powders, soaps and your body’s natural oils can add a film to diamonds. To restore the radiance of your natural or lab-grown diamonds, soak in warm water and mild detergent-free soap. Gently scrub with a soft-bristled or baby-sized toothbrush to dislodge any dirt from the facets.

Diamonds - whether natural or lab-grown - can lose brilliance when exposed to lotions, soaps, powders, or even your skin’s natural oils. To restore their radiance:

• Soak in warm water with mild, detergent-free soap

• Gently scrub with a soft-bristled or baby toothbrush to remove dirt from the facets

Opal care: Prevent exposing your opal jewellery to prolonged contact with water, liquids, or chemicals. Temporary transparency may occur if an opal absorbs water, while exposure to chemicals could result in lasting changes.

Should your opal get wet, gently pat it dry using a soft, clean cloth. As it dries, the original colour should gradually return.

Store your opal jewellery in a dry environment, keeping it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature shifts.
