A comfort-fit band of 18k Gold Vermeil, the Soma Ring holds a round Australian opal cabochon. Opal traces its name through the Latin "opalus'" to the Sanskrit "upala", meaning precious stone, and its shifting play-of-colour has been read since antiquity as the movement of light over water. Soma - the sacred lunar nectar of the Vedas - sets the ring within ARCHĒ's THALASSA, the water capsule.
