Umber takes its name from the Latin "umbra", for shade, and from Umbria in Italy, the region that gives the earth pigment raw umber its colour. A smoky quartz is set with two round garnets in 18k Gold Vermeil on a black-brown cord - smoky quartz, found in the Cairngorm mountains and long worn in Scotland, paired with the deep fire of garnet.
